I was trying to think of something witty to say but considering I caused enough trouble while working in Boston this morning with my comments I will just leave you with a Hearty -AMEN Brother!

May I add another Amen? I'm sick and tired of hearing lauds for these people before and after their deaths. This man cheated on his wife, he was responsible for the death of a woman that he most assuredly was having an affair with, he drank excessively and ruined his marriage and in all this; his home state reelected him year after year and he had a powerful voice in the running of our government. I heard yesterday that "because of the deaths of his brothers he was the surrogate father for 29 children"; Lord help them, what kind of an example did they grow up with?

C'mon now Pastor Paul...this to me is over the top.....The man was clearly imperfect.....[but who isn't]

Not sure who 'anonymous' is (someone from church I suspect)
No, I don't think this is over the top at all - possibly under the bar if anything.
It is a sign of apostacy when we begin claiming our lowest common denominator rather than our highest common denominator, the Person of Christ.
This man was the biblical definition of a fool & his record, both personal & political is very clear. His regular platform & performance was the opposite of clear biblical revelation. As a result, he is due no honor.

Hello there! Randomly stumbled across your blog and just thought I'd comment. I agree that this man assuredly did some wicked things in his life. And maybe you could even go so far as to call him wicked. But, shouldn't our hearts still be saddened by the fact that this was a human that God created and died for who will now never be able to live with Him forever?
